The first method is based on the visible parts of the human eye-the external, the iris, and the pupil. We call the three parts the encounter process, which consist of 3 stages-orientation (external), speculation (iris), and focalization (pupil) (Liberty University, 2013).
Orientation is defined as the relative physical position or direction of something. In other words, parents, teachers, and communities must meet at a physical location in order to move in the same direction of what is needed to ensure students’ success.
Speculation is defined as a conclusion or opinion reached by such contemplation. In other words, parents, teachers, and communities must reach a conclusion after much contemplation on who is needed in order to bring about students success.
Focalization means to bring or come to a focus. Here, parents, teachers, and communities must focus on the perceived truth that it takes a village to raise a child up to become an equipped graduate.
Therefore, parents, teachers, and communities must be in the physical position of moving in the direction of supporting students success by reaching the conclusion after much contemplation that the perceived truth is that it takes a village to raise a child up to become an equipped graduate…everyone has to know their part and do their part in order for it to work…
The second method is based on an equilateral triangle. An equilateral triangle has 3 equal sides. Therefore, the formula for student success depends on the parents and the communities knowing their roles with working together with the teachers to ensure students’ success.
The third method is based on a student holding 3A+ which means the child shows up to school with the right attitude, and ready to perform in order to become an equipped graduate.
The fourth method is based on the average annual salary according to research; a high school dropout is $18,734.00. High School graduate is $27,915.00. Undergraduate is $51,206.00. Postgraduate is $74,602.00.
